Round or diamond-shaped information boards on the sides of ski slopes and ski routes mark all safe descents in a ski area and clearly separate them from the open, unsafe ski area. The boards display clearly understandable information based on their location at the edge of the slope/ski route, their color, the number or the arrow symbol:

• The winter sports enthusiast is on a groomed, controlled slope or appropriately secured ski route that is protected against atypical dangers, especially avalanche danger.
